Scientific Content Manager

Job Description:

The role of a Scientific Content Manager is to oversee the creation, review, and dissemination of medical communications. This includes reactive and proactive decks, medical information letters, infographics, quick response guides, verbal response documents, FAQs, and product monographs.

A successful candidate will have expertise in assigned therapeutic areas, with a good understanding of pertinent disease states and clinical trials. They will be able to conduct medical reviews and data fact-checks on MedComm deliverables.

Responsibilities include delivering high-quality literature searches, identifying key literature to support the creation of medical content, obtaining copyright permissions prior to internal or external use, recognizing client business needs and aligning team capabilities accordingly.

Leadership skills are required to lead and upskill a team of scientific writers as part of the training process. Preparation and update of specific training documents as needed are also expected.

Collaboration with quality assurance, creative, copy-editing, business excellence, and project management teams is crucial for success.

Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Postgraduate qualification in pharmacy, PharmD, Ph.D., or equivalent medical degree
  • 4-12 years of experience in medical communication, scientific writing, content writing, medical review, or publication experience in the life sciences domain
