Senior DevOps System Engineer Position

We are seeking an experienced and skilled system engineer to join our team in Bengaluru. This role is instrumental in ensuring the smooth operation, high availability, and optimal performance of our mixed Windows and Linux server environments with a strong emphasis on IIS hosted and containerized applications.

This position requires expertise in routine system administration tasks on Windows and Linux Server platforms, as well as management and maintenance of IIS web servers, site configurations, and performance monitoring for hosted applications.

The ideal candidate will possess strong infrastructure operations skills, including performing basic server operations, monitoring, and troubleshooting in Linux environments, ensuring system and data security by adhering to established policies and implementing appropriate controls, managing and maintaining server inventory, documentation, and operational runbooks.

Additionally, this position demands proficiency in application deployment support, including acting as a key liaison with application development teams for deploying new applications and updates to production and non-production environments, providing expert hosting support for applications running on IIS, including performance tuning, error analysis, and log review, and assisting in automating application deployment processes using scripting and relevant tools.

  • Infrastructure Operations:

    • Execute basic server operations, monitoring, and troubleshooting in Linux environments.
    • Ensure system and data security by adhering to established policies and implementing appropriate controls.

  • Application Deployment Support:
    • Act as a key liaison with application development teams for deploying new applications and updates to production and non-production environments.
    • Provide expert hosting support for applications running on IIS, including performance tuning, error analysis, and log review.
    • Troubleshoot application connectivity and availability issues, collaborating with developers to pinpoint root causes and implement solutions.
    • Assist in automating application deployment processes using scripting and relevant tools.
    • Monitor deployed applications for health, performance, and error conditions, proactively addressing issues.
