Job Title: Technical Superintendent

This role is based in Cyprus and involves managing the technical and operational performance of 3-4 container ships.

Your Responsibilities:
  • Technical management and operations: Ensure the smooth operation of vessels, including routine maintenance and repair.
  • Health, Safety and Environment Compliance: Uphold strict safety standards to prevent accidents and protect the environment.
  • Budget management: Oversee financial resources to optimize vessel performance.
  • Human capital development and People management: Foster a high-performing team through training, coaching, and mentoring.
  • Relationship management: Develop and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders, including crew members, shipowners, and suppliers.
Requirements:
  • A qualified Marine Engineer with a degree in business or any related discipline.
  • Experience as a Chief Engineer on Container vessels.
  • At least one year of experience as a technical superintendent focused on Container vessels.
  • High quality technical and managerial skills: Demonstrate expertise in vessel operations and management.
  • People oriented and passionate about developing shipboard teams: Possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Business acumen with budgetary responsibilities: Display a deep understanding of financial management.
  • Highly analytical with a proactive approach to problem solving: Apply critical thinking to resolve complex issues.
  • Good interpersonal and organizational skills: Manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.

The successful candidate will be able to multitask and work under pressure to meet deadlines. They must also be well updated with the latest regulatory requirements and its implementation.
