Procurement Specialist

About the Role:

We are seeking a skilled Procurement Specialist to join our team in Hosur. As a key member of our procurement department, you will be responsible for managing all non-production items and contracts.

Responsibilities:

• Procurement Management: You will oversee the procurement of capital items, consumables, maintenance spares, tooling, gauges, fabrication, and other non-production items.
• Contract Management: You will manage all contracts related to transportation, housekeeping, canteen services, security, shuttle buses, AMC's, professional services, and other essential services.
• Interdepartmental Coordination: You will liaison with various departments, including finance, stores, logistics, production, planning, QA, and provide support as needed.
• Supply Chain Optimization: You will work towards improving supply chain efficiency, reducing costs, and ensuring timely delivery of goods and services.
• Documentation and Compliance: You will maintain accurate records of all PO's and contracts, ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements.
• Local Supplier Relationship Management: You will establish and maintain strong relationships with local suppliers to meet specific needs.
• Sales Forecasting: You will analyze sales trends and forecasts to ensure adequate inventory levels and minimize stockouts.
• Reporting and Analysis: You will prepare and submit monthly reports on procurement activities, highlighting areas for improvement and cost savings opportunities.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or relevant field;
• Minimum 14-18 years of experience in procurement and supply chain management;
• Strong negotiation and communication skills;
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team;
• Familiarity with legal aspects of purchasing and taxation related to procurement;
• Knowledge of market conditions and supplier base;
• Fluency in English (written and oral);
• Experience working in the manufacturing industry is preferred.
