We are seeking a talented and passionate software engineer to join our team.

Job Description

We are looking for an individual who has experience building innovative, high-volume applications that customers love. This is a high-visibility role where you will have the opportunity to make a positive impact on customer experience.

Our team takes a world view of payments for all of Amazon, building highly customized and seamless payment experiences for our global customers. This focus on geography and customer requires working with different technologies and back-end systems to meet the needs of our customers. Our back-end systems are always available and guarantee that our customer's orders are never lost and always processed even when downstream services are down.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Work with the team to solve business problems.
  2. Design, implement, test, deploy, and maintain innovative software solutions to transform service performance, durability, cost, and security.
  3. Use software engineering best practices to ensure a high standard of quality for all team deliverables.
  4. Write high-quality distributed system software.

We are looking for someone who has 3+ years of professional software development experience, 2+ years of design or architecture experience, and experience programming with at least one software programming language. Additionally, we require 3+ years of full software development life cycle experience, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experience.

Requirements
  • 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
  • 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
  • Experience programming with at least one software programming language
  • 3+ years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experience
