Job Overview

The role of Data Management and Reporting Specialist is crucial in ensuring the accuracy and consistency of data within our organization. This individual will be responsible for managing item master data, maintaining vendor master data, and recording transit days for distribution center-vendor combinations.

Responsibilities:

  • Data Management
    • Develop and implement processes to ensure data accuracy and consistency across all systems.
    • Maintain and update item master data, including product codes, descriptions, categories, pack sizes, etc.
    • Ensure that vendor master data, including pricing and other key attributes, is up-to-date and accurate.
    • Record and regularly update transit days for DC-vendor combinations.
    • Identify and resolve data-related issues in collaboration with sourcing, planning, and purchase teams.
  • Reporting and Analytics
    • Prepare and publish daily, weekly, and monthly reports covering key performance indicators (KPIs) such as supply chain efficiency, vendor performance, inventory levels, and service levels.
    • Consolidate data from multiple sources to provide timely and actionable insights to management.
    • Automate reporting formats in Excel/ERP system/Power BI for improved efficiency and reduced manual work.
    • Support ad-hoc data and reporting requirements from management.
  • Process Improvement
    • Develop and implement process improvements to minimize errors and manual work.
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify areas for improvement and develop solutions.
