As a Chess Instructor, you will play a crucial role in fostering brain development, enhancing patience and confidence, boosting cognitive abilities, and nurturing critical thinking skills in our students.
About the RoleWe are seeking an experienced and passionate Chess Instructor to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing one-on-one chess instruction to students aged 5-15 years, evaluating their current chess levels, strengths, weaknesses, and playing styles, and developing customized training plans to help them improve.
Key Responsibilities- Evaluate students' current chess levels, strengths, weaknesses, and playing styles through player assessments.
- Analyze student games to pinpoint mistakes and missed opportunities, providing actionable feedback to improve their gameplay.
- Develop and assign chess puzzles, exercises, and drills to enhance problem-solving skills, tactical and positional awareness, and calculation abilities.
- Assist students in preparing for chess tournaments by helping them formulate game plans and manage their time effectively during games.
- Adapt teaching methods to meet the unique needs and learning styles of individual students, whether they are children, adults, beginners, intermediate players, or advanced players.
- Maintain records of student progress and adjust training plans accordingly.
- Provide chess training as per the assigned schedule, ensuring a safe and engaging learning environment.
- A valid FIDE rating.
- Strong knowledge of chess strategies and techniques.
- Fluency in English.
- High-speed internet (20+ Mbps) and a desktop/laptop with a good webcam and noise-cancelling headphones.
- A passion for teaching and mentoring.
The estimated salary for this position is ₹450,000 - ₹600,000 per annum, depending on experience and qualifications. Additionally, you will receive a comprehensive benefits package, including access to ongoing training and professional development opportunities.
