Main Responsibilities:
  • Backend System Development: Develop efficient backend systems for our flagship product by applying strong computer science fundamentals.
  • System Security and Performance: Ensure secure, reliable, and high-performing backend systems through continuous monitoring and improvement.
  • Automation and Delivery: Drive test coverage, automation, and continuous delivery practices within the team to enhance efficiency and quality.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement robust RESTful APIs.
  • System Optimization: Optimize system performance through profiling, garbage collection tuning, and SQL query optimization techniques.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Experience: 5+ years of experience in software development with strong expertise in computer science fundamentals.
  • Java Ecosystem Expertise: Proficiency in the Java ecosystem (Spring, Hibernate, etc.) is essential.
  • Coding Skills: Strong ability to write clean, maintainable, and secure code is mandatory.
  • API Design: Excellent understanding of REST API design principles is required.
  • Database Knowledge: In-depth knowledge of relational databases, transactions, and entity-relationship modeling is necessary.
  • Concurrency: Experience in building highly concurrent systems is desirable.
  • Testing Strategies: Familiarity with unit testing, integration testing, and performance testing strategies is required.
  • Performance Tuning: Skilled in using profilers and performance tuning techniques is essential.
