Cyber Security Professional Job Overview

At the forefront of safeguarding our systems, networks, and data against internal and external threats lies a Cyber Security Engineer. This highly skilled professional is entrusted with designing, implementing, and managing security tools and infrastructure to protect against cyber threats.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for monitoring systems and networks for potential security breaches and investigating violations. Performing vulnerability assessments, penetration testing, and risk analysis are also key components of this role. Additionally, the successful candidate will respond to security incidents, lead incident response activities, including root cause analysis and remediation.

Essential skills include ensuring systems, applications, and network configurations comply with internal security policies and regulatory requirements. Collaboration with IT and development teams is crucial in implementing security best practices and secure software development life cycle.

Maintaining firewalls, antivirus, endpoint detection and response, security information and event management, data loss prevention, and intrusion detection and prevention systems are also vital responsibilities. Furthermore, the ability to conduct security awareness training for staff and developers is essential.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Strong understanding of network and web-related protocols.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Professional certifications in cybersecurity.
  • Experience with cloud security.
  • Familiarity with DevSecOps and container security.
