Job Opportunity:

Senior Programme Manager

Role Overview:

This leadership position plays a key role in driving strategic planning, technical expertise, and program management to enhance the organization's nutrition portfolio and achieve impactful outcomes.

The Senior Programme Manager will be responsible for:

  • Contributing towards reviewing and updating strategy from time to time in consultation with senior colleagues.
  • Expanding the organization's nutrition programme with a focus on high-priority geographies.
  • Developing comprehensive programme plans, delivery models, monitoring frameworks, and scale-up roadmaps for new and existing nutrition initiatives and programmes.
  • Identifying and initiating strategic partnerships with like-minded stakeholders.
  • Providing thought leadership on nutrition-specific and nutrition-sensitive programme and research development aligned with organisational vision and strategy.

The ideal candidate will possess a PhD, Master's or PG Diploma in Public Health Nutrition, Community Health, Global Health, Public Health, Food and Nutrition policies and programmes, Public Policy, Development Studies, and related disciplines. They will have 15 years of experience in public health nutrition, food, and related programme development, research, and policy. Prior experience in philanthropy and grant making will be beneficial, and experience in research and programme evaluation will be essential. The candidate should also demonstrate skills in proposal assessment and evaluation, excellent communication skills, and knowledge of field realities and social complexities with a focus on communities.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

A strong background in nutrition is essential for this role, alongside relevant qualifications and extensive experience in programme development, research, and policy. The ideal candidate will also possess exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
