A Rewarding Opportunity for Qualified ECE Teachers

At the Auckland Kindergarten Association, we are seeking a qualified and registered Early Childhood Education (ECE) teacher to join our Mobile Reliever team. This position offers a unique opportunity to work across multiple kindergartens, providing urgent relief assistance to our teaching teams.

About the Role

The Mobile Reliever position is a great opportunity for passionate teachers who love relief teaching and working across multiple sites. As a Mobile Reliever, you will get to experience and learn the different and innovative uniqueness of our kindergartens, while supporting the kindergartens when an urgent relief teacher is required.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Work across multiple kindergartens, providing urgent relief assistance to our teaching teams.
  2. Support the kindergartens when an urgent relief teacher is required.
  3. Get to experience and learn the different and innovative uniqueness of our kindergartens.
  4. Contribute to the learning outcomes of tamariki and engage in professional learning.
  5. Work in a variety of dynamic environments alongside inspiring, passionate and supportive team members.

Requirements

  1. Be an ECE-trained teacher with a New Zealand ECE qualification (or NZQA-assessed equivalent overseas ECE qualification).
  2. Hold a current teacher practising certificate, Category 1 or 2.
  3. Available a minimum of three days per week.
  4. Hold a current First Aid certificate.
  5. Be committed to the ongoing success of the Mobile Reliever programme.
  6. Be flexible, a confident communicator and able to use your initiative while working with our busy teams in our different kindergarten environments.
  7. Flexibility in travel is a must as you will be asked to move to different kindergartens each morning (travel time and mileage reimbursement offered).
  8. Have access to a reliable means of transport and a mobile phone that you can be contactable on each morning.
  9. Be ICT-competent and confident using technology in your teaching.
  10. Reside in either the South or North area of Auckland.
