Job Title: Financial Compliance Specialist

We are currently seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Financial Compliance Specialist who will be responsible for managing statutory filings, compliance with the Companies Act, income tax, TDS provisions, GST, and financial statements preparation.

This role requires a strong knowledge of relevant laws and regulations, excellent problem-solving abilities, and a focus on delivering accurate financial information to clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the main point of contact for clients regarding statutory filings, compliance, and financial statement preparation.
  • Ensure timely and accurate filing of statutory forms and returns with the Registrar of Companies (ROC) and other government agencies.
  • Monitor and stay updated on changes in the Companies Act, income tax, TDS provisions, GST, and other relevant laws and regulations.
  • Prepare and review financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
  • Assist in the preparation and filing of income tax returns, ensuring compliance with tax laws and regulations.
  • Monitor and manage TDS compliance, including deduction, payment, and filing of TDS returns.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to resolve any legal or compliance issues related to statutory filings and financial statements.
  • Ensure compliance with GST regulations, including timely filing of returns, reconciliation, and addressing any GST-related queries.
  • Provide accurate and reliable financial information to clients, addressing any queries or concerns they may have.
  • Maintain proper documentation and records related to statutory filings, compliance, and financial statements.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement and contribute to the overall efficiency of finance operations.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Commerce, Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • 0-1 years of relevant experience in finance operations, statutory filings, and financial statements preparation.
  • In-depth knowledge of the Companies Act, income tax provisions, TDS regulations, GST laws, and financial reporting standards.
  • Familiarity with accounting software and tools, including Tally, QuickBooks, or similar platforms.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail to ensure accuracy in financial statements and compliance filings.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively interact with clients and internal stakeholders.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and work independently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in MS Excel and other MS Office applications.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and the capability to address complex financial and compliance issues.
  • Demonstrated commitment to maintaining client confidentiality and delivering exceptional service.
