Job Description

We are seeking a Production Merchandise Manager to oversee day-to-day merchandising operations and manage production workflows. The successful candidate will ensure all product flows are in line with planned shipment dates.

The ideal candidate will have 10 years of experience in the garment industry, with expertise in garment production management and excellent written and oral skills in English and Hindi.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Making production Time and Action calendars
  • Preparing Bills of Material based on technical packs
  • Executing sourcing trims/accessories
  • Preparing production files with details documents, approvals, samples, and swatches
  • Conducting PP meetings with quality teams and production teams
  • Giving approval of printing, embroidery production, and other work processes within products
  • Executing wholesale and online orders
  • Coordinating with management and customers during production
  • Providing clarification to production and quality teams regarding style workmanship/trims
  • Coordinating with QA for initial/mid/final inspections of each style
  • Coordinating with shipping and documentation departments for forwarding approved shipments
  • Tracking style status and updating top management and buyer representatives/agents

Requirements:

  • Planning and coordination: planning and coordinating production activities to meet customer orders, including fabric sourcing, weaving, dyeing, and finishing processes
  • Quality assurance: ensuring finished goods meet customer requirements and company standards, including conducting quality checks and inspections
  • Cost analysis: analyzing production costs and implementing cost-saving initiatives, including calculating costs for garments such as fabric consumption, trims, and transportation/logistics costs
  • Supplier relations: developing strong relationships with suppliers to negotiate prices, improve supply chain management, and resolve issues
  • Communication: answering queries and communications through phone or email
  • Administrative duties: carrying out necessary administrative tasks as required
  • Project improvements: suggesting improvements on elements within each project
  • Meeting minutes: taking minutes of meetings for record and reference

Qualifications:

  • Excellent written and oral skills in English and Hindi
  • 10 years of experience in the garment industry in a similar position
  • Expertise in garment production management
  • Flexible
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
  • Attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines
  • Experience with production planning and vendor management
  • Knowledge of merchandising trends and market analysis
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Merchandising, or related field

Salary Range: ₹1,200,000 - ₹1,500,000 per annum (dependent on qualifications and experience)
