High-Quality Assurance Specialist

This role offers the opportunity to develop and implement quality processes that meet rigorous specifications for quality, functionality, and reliability.

About This Position

  • Quality Process Development: Create and execute high-quality processes to ensure our products meet demanding specifications.
  • Test Case Management: Develop and maintain functional test cases, System & Integration Test cases, and automated scripts used in the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
  • Testing and Reporting: Execute manual and automated test cases to validate functionalities, code quality, and report results following formal test architectures and project processes.
  • Metric Tracking: Track key metrics across all phases and report to management.
  • Documentation: Document testing results, including expected behavior, actual behavior, and detailed steps to reproduce defects.
  • Collaboration: Provide quality sign-off to project teams and execute testing duties assigned.
  • Performance Testing: Configure QA performance/load test design and execution to ensure high-performance software under load.
  • User Feedback: Incorporate client usage and feedback into test scripts to mimic end-user behavior in QA.
  • Bug Identification and Reporting: Diagnose problems and report bugs and enhancements to the Agile team.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • STEM Degree Required: Bachelor's degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics field or related function required.
  • Application Testing Experience: 3+ years of application testing experience.
  • Manual Testing and Bug Lifecycle Management: Experienced with use case generation, manual testing, and bug lifecycle management.
  • Database Understanding: Understanding of Relational database models and experience working with GUI tools to interact with them (Working knowledge of SQL).
  • Agile Environment Experience: Experience working in an Agile environment.
  • Automation Tools Familiarity: Exposure to using bug tracking and test case management tools (JIRA, Azure TFS, Git).
  • Browser and Mobile Device Testing: Experience testing and working with multi-browser and mobile device systems.
  • Customer Empathy and Communication Skills: Good customer empathy and excellent written and communication skills.
  • Teamwork and Problem-Solving: Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment, passionate about building amazing products, and strong analysis and autonomous problem discovery and solving skills.
  • Programming Language Expertise: Experience in C#, JUnit/TestNG, Jenkins, Playwright, Selenium, SoapUI, creating Playwright, Selenium, REST API, Junit test automation, and API testing (JSON, REST) using Postman and JMeter.
