Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled Cloud Geospatial Developer to design and build our cutting-edge geospatial platform. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in cloud computing, machine learning, and geospatial data processing.

This is an exciting opportunity for a talented developer to work on a high-impact project that leverages the power of satellite imagery and AI to drive business decisions.

Responsibilities:
  • Design and implement a scalable cloud infrastructure using AWS services such as Lambda, S3, and API Gateway.
  • Develop a machine learning pipeline to ingest, process, and analyze large datasets of satellite imagery.
  • Integrate AI models with real-time prediction capabilities using frameworks like XGBoost and Scikit-learn.
  • Implement a low-latency REST API to serve predictions from AI models.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration with existing systems.
Requirements:
  • A minimum of 3 years of professional software development experience.
  • Deep expertise in either Python-based backend development or React-based frontend development.
  • Essential, in-depth experience designing, building, and deploying services on Amazon Web Services (AWS).
  • A thorough understanding of REST principles and proven experience in designing and building APIs from scratch.
  • Proficiency in containerising applications using Docker.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience building complex, interactive mapping and data visualisation services with Mapbox GL JS or similar libraries.
  • Experience with GIS data processing using libraries like GeoPandas and Rasterio, or familiarity with Google Earth Engine.
