About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled AI/ML Architect to join our dynamic engineering team at ValGenesis, a leading provider of digital transformation solutions for the life science industry. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for designing and implementing cutting-edge AI/ML solutions to drive business growth and improve customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with data scientists and other AI professionals to identify and pilot use cases for digital transformation.
  • Work closely with product functional teams to translate product vision into realistic technical implementation and ensure alignment with existing and future requirements.
  • Define the AI architecture and select appropriate technologies from a pool of open-source and commercial offerings.
  • Audit AI tools and practices to ensure continuous improvement and implement a feedback mechanism to assess AI services.
  • Engage with data product managers, software engineers, and subject matter experts to leverage AI/ML to enhance operational efficiency.
  • Stay current with the latest advancements in machine learning and artificial intelligence and shape the application of AI/ML within the life science industry.
  • Provide mentorship to a team of AI/ML engineers and foster a collaborative environment conducive to ongoing research and development.

Requirements:

  • Preferred experience in the life science domain or a related field.
  • 6+ years of proven expertise in AI/ML architecture and pipeline management.
  • Strong experience with data management, data science, and analytics.
  • Proficiency in one or more AI/ML domains, including NLP, text analytics, deep learning, generative AI, or related areas.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop, deploy, evaluate, and monitor machine learning models.
  • Strong programming capabilities in Python.
  • Familiarity with GenAI tools like Langchain, LlamaIndex, and open-source Vector DBs.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, along with strong interpersonal abilities.
  • Familiarity with MLOps platforms such as Kubeflow or MLFlow is advantageous.
  • Knowledge of ML frameworks such as scikit-learn, TensorFlow, and PyTorch is a plus.
  • Experience in software development lifecycle (SDLC) and DevOps practices.
  • Advanced degree in Computer Science, Machine Learning, or a related discipline.
