Role Overview:

We are seeking a highly experienced Data Scientist to deliver data-driven initiatives across the business on a 2 month contract with potential extension. The role demands deep expertise in data mining, statistical modeling, algorithm development, and simulation design. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to uncover actionable insights, optimize performance, and drive strategic outcomes.

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with stakeholders to identify opportunities for leveraging data to solve business challenges and improve outcomes
  • Mine and analyze structured and unstructured data using tools such as Python, R, SQL, and Spark
  • Build and implement predictive models, simulations, and machine learning algorithms to optimize customer experience, revenue, and operational efficiency
  • Assess and validate new data sources and collection methods for accuracy and relevance
  • Develop custom data models and scalable algorithms tailored to business needs
  • Use Power BI to visualize insights and communicate findings effectively
  • Lead automation of data flows, reporting, and analytical processes using Python, R, Power Query, and cloud-based tools
  • Coordinate with engineering, product, and business teams to deploy models and monitor performance
  • Design and implement tools and processes to track model accuracy, data quality, and business impact
  • Deliver training modules and mentor junior analysts to build analytical capability across the organization

Requirements:

* Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in quantitative field (Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Engineering, etc.)

* At least 2 years' experience in quantitative analytics or data modeling

* Proven experience in advanced analytics, statistical modeling, and machine learning

* Strong programming skills in Python and R

* Proficient in Power BI, SQL, and data visualization best practices

* Experience with cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS
