**Senior Mechanical Design Engineer Job Description**

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Senior Mechanical Design Engineer to join our team. As a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer, you will be responsible for creating detailed designs for tooling components and assemblies using AutoCAD, SolidWorks, and ZW CAD.

You will work closely with production teams to ensure designs are practical and efficient, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure design requirements are met and projects are completed on time.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Create and modify detailed designs for tooling components and assemblies using AutoCAD, SolidWorks, and ZW CAD
  • Ensure designs meet functional and quality standards
  • Develop tooling solutions for various manufacturing processes
  • Drafting and Documentation: Prepare technical drawings, schematics, and documentation for tooling projects
  • Maintain accurate records and updates of design changes
  • Prototyping and Testing: Assist in the development of prototypes and perform testing and evaluation to ensure tools meet performance specifications
  • Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams including manufacturing, quality assurance, and project management
  • Troubleshooting: Identify and resolve design issues and manufacturing problems
Required Skills and Qualifications

To succeed as a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer, you will need:

  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, SolidWorks, and ZW CAD
  • Strong understanding of drafting and design principles, and tooling processes
