Software Quality Assurance Engineer Role

A software quality assurance engineer plays a crucial part in ensuring high-quality software delivery by designing and executing both manual and automated tests.

This role involves collaborating with engineering, product management, and design teams to identify test strategies, troubleshoot quality issues, and provide detailed defect analysis. The position also requires creating documentation, optimizing departmental processes, and preparing analytical reports.

Your Key Responsibilities:

  • Participate in Agile Scrum teams and manage the quality of software projects from inception to delivery
  • Develop and implement continuous automation and testing disciplines to ensure highest quality for all product deliverables
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to drive quality and deliver excellent products that meet end-user needs
  • Ensure unit testing, code reviews, functional testing, integration testing, etc., are implemented and completed for functionality, performance, scalability, and security
  • Collaborate with other departments to direct customer compliance issues to appropriate areas for investigation and resolution

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • 5+ years of software development, quality engineering, and/or quality assurance experience for enterprise software products
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or related technology field
  • Deep understanding and proven track record of delivering enterprise software products with solid understanding and experience in Agile software development
  • Experience developing automation frameworks and coding in Java, SQL, and web technologies such as JavaScript/Typescript, jQuery, and CSS3
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to effectively communicate across all levels of the organization
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and deliver outstanding results
