Automation Test Engineer Role Overview

As an Automation Test Engineer, you will be responsible for designing and developing automated test scripts using various tools and frameworks.

Key responsibilities include collaborating with cross-functional teams to understand requirements and develop test cases, creating and maintaining automated test frameworks and tools to ensure robust and scalable test coverage, executing automated test scripts and analyzing test results to identify defects and areas for improvement, and reporting and tracking defects.

Additionally, you will participate in code reviews, provide feedback on test strategies and implementations, and stay updated with industry trends and best practices in automated testing and quality assurance.

Qualifications and Skills
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Proven experience in QA automation, with a strong understanding of test automation frameworks and tools.
  • Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, Java, and JavaScript.
  • Hands-on experience with automation tools and frameworks such as Selenium, Appium, and Cypress.
  • Solid knowledge of software testing methodologies and best practices.
  • Familiarity with continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines.
Preferred Skills
  • Experience with performance testing tools such as JMeter.
  • Knowledge of cloud-based testing environments and tools.
  • Experience with API testing and tools like Postman.
