Job Title: Senior Database Architect

We are seeking an accomplished Senior Database Architect to spearhead database strategy and optimization initiatives for our full-stack applications built using React and Node.js. This role demands expertise in DevOps and API integration, along with a proven track record of delivering scalable and secure databases.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and optimize stored procedures, queries, and functions (PostgreSQL/MS SQL).
  • Ensure database security, availability, and performance through proactive monitoring and maintenance.
  • Support DB deployment, migrations, backups, and documentation processes.
  • Integrate and test APIs using tools like Postman.
  • Collaborate with developers to align DB design with application logic, ensuring seamless data flow.
DevOps & Cloud
  • Build and manage CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, GitHub Actions, etc., to streamline development workflows.
  • Manage cloud infrastructure (preferably Azure) and automate provisioning with Terraform or Ansible.
  • Implement Docker/Kubernetes-based container solutions to enhance scalability and efficiency.
  • Set up logging, monitoring, and alerting tools to ensure proactive issue resolution.
Version Control & API Integration
  • Manage Git repositories and enforce clean workflows to maintain code quality.
  • Work closely with backend teams to optimize API interactions and ensure secure integrations with third-party services.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelors in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
  • Strong SQL development and query optimization experience, including knowledge of PostgreSQL and MS SQL.
  • Familiarity with React & Node.js architecture and REST APIs, as well as hands-on experience with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, or GCP).
  • Proficiency in scripting languages (Bash, PowerShell, Python), Terraform, Ansible, Docker, and Kubernetes.
