As a seasoned engineer, you will play a key role in optimizing gas turbine systems to improve their performance and reliability.

Your primary responsibility will be to ensure that all packaged equipment designs meet the required standards and industry best practices.

You will oversee and mentor junior designers, providing guidance and instruction as needed, while leading complex tasks with confidence.

How You Will Make an Impact

  • You will work closely with internal departments, regional divisions, suppliers, and customers to deliver project upgrades within allocated timescales.
  • Standardizing solutions will be a key aspect of your role, ensuring consistency across all projects.
  • You will analyze fault reports, implement corrective actions, and propose package upgrades to prevent future issues.
  • Building and maintaining Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs) using AutoCAD software will be a critical part of your daily tasks.
  • You will generate purchase specifications for equipment and components, including part creation and lifecycle management within Siemens PLM.
  • Produce engineering documents such as design calculations, technical reports, risk assessments, performance graphs, and datasheets as the task demands.

What You Bring

  • A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a related field is required. Coursework with Gas Turbines/Turbomachines background is highly desirable.
  • 10-12 years of proven experience in a Fluid Systems or equivalent role within an associated or similar industry.
  • Experience with specifying fluid system components and technologies, such as pumps, valves, piping, control gear, actuators, and instrumentation, with ability to evaluate parts and processes for cost, efficiency, and reliability improvements.
  • Good knowledge and understanding of relevant industry standards and regulations applicable to fluid systems design and safety in relation to auxiliary packaged systems.
  • Knowledge of COMOS would be beneficial.
  • Lean Six Sigma Green Belt certification is highly preferred.
