IT Procurement Manager Job Description

The role of IT Procurement Manager is responsible for managing the commercial and contractual aspects of IT spend categories.

  • Commercial Management: Manage end-to-end commercial and procurement aspects within all IT categories, including Hardware, Software, Outsourcing Services, Cloud and SAAS.
  • Category Strategy: Ensure proper spend categorization and lead strategic/tactical projects, applying sourcing approaches as needed.
  • Relationship Building: Establish strong relationships with senior stakeholders and advise internal business partners on procurement processes and policies.
  • Negotiation: Independently execute RFP/RFQ processes and negotiate contracts with vendors.
  • Process Improvement: Define and implement plans in line with category strategy and leverage procurement/sourcing tools.

For this role, we are looking for a candidate with significant experience in sourcing or procurement, particularly in cloud services. They should also have strong negotiation and influencing skills, as well as a good understanding of electronic procurement tools, source-to-pay processes, and supplier screening programs.

As an IT Procurement Manager, you will work collaboratively across global regions, teams, and time zones to deliver successful solutions. Strong communication and presentation skills are essential for this role.
