The Raman Research Institute (RRI) is a premier research institute dedicated to advancing knowledge in the fields of general relativity and quantum gravity. Our team of experts works collaboratively to push the boundaries of scientific understanding.
SalaryWe offer an attractive salary package to our postdoctoral researchers, including INR 58,000 to INR 67,000 per month, plus house rent allowance, depending on their experience. For candidates who are yet to complete their Ph.D. requirements, a research fellowship at a lower rate of INR 48,000 per month will be provided until completion of such requirements.
Job DescriptionWe invite applications for postdoctoral positions and the Pancharatnam fellowship at RRI. The successful candidate will join our theoretical physics group, working actively in general relativity and quantum gravity. We encourage independent researchers with a background in these areas to apply.
Required Skills and QualificationsTo be considered for this position, applicants should have a strong academic record, with a Ph.D. in a relevant field. Proven research experience and a track record of publications are essential. Familiarity with the ongoing activities at RRI and a demonstrated interest in collaborating with our team members are highly desirable.
BenefitsThe appointments do not entail any teaching responsibilities. Postdoctoral Fellows are expected to work independently, with academic freedom to choose their research area and collaborate with colleagues as they see fit.
OthersThe maximum duration of the postdoctoral position is three years, with annual extensions based on internal assessments.
