Product Design Engineer Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled Product Design Engineer to drive end-to-end product design and development of consumer and industrial electronic products. This role requires strong technical expertise, hands-on problem-solving skills, and leadership ability to guide a team of engineers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop detailed mechanical designs from concept through to production release, ensuring manufacturability, assembly efficiency, and cost optimization.
  • Translate customer/market requirements into innovative and manufacturable product designs, using SolidWorks CAD expertise with simulation exposure.
  • Perform design calculations, DFMEA, and tolerance analysis for robust product performance, driving material selection based on performance, regulatory compliance, and cost.
  • Design products in plastics (injection moulding), sheet metal, die-casting, and machining, ensuring durability and reliability.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with electrical, firmware, quality, sourcing, and manufacturing teams to deliver end-to-end product designs from concept to market.

Requirements:

  • 8-10 years of mechanical product design and development experience, with a strong background in consumer electronics or similar domain experience.
  • SolidWorks CAD expertise with simulation exposure, proven ability to deliver complex designs from concept to market.
  • Strong technical expertise, hands-on problem-solving skills, and leadership ability to guide a team of engineers.
