Innovative Mechanical Architectural Designer

Imagine designing and developing the mechanical architecture of a state-of-the-art instrument from scratch.
Key Responsibilities:- Design for performance, efficiency, and reliability: create innovative solutions for quick specimen exchange, accurate motion, clean routing, and easy maintenance.
- Develop the production playbook - fixtures, torque specifications, metrology checks - to drive prototypes to pilot builds efficiently.
- Collaborate with suppliers to improve yield and quality, ensuring seamless integration of components.
- Lead system-level integration, balancing optics, electronics, thermal, acoustic, and safety requirements effectively.
- Experience delivering precision electromechanical systems in scientific instruments, automation, or similar fields.
- Proficiency in vacuum practice, precision motion, geometric dimensioning and tolerancing, and design for manufacturability.
- Strong problem-solving skills with an emphasis on ergonomics and field-serviceability.
