Senior AWS Redshift Database Administrator Job

As a key team member, you will be responsible for managing complex data systems and ensuring seamless interactions with cloud services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Administer scalable cloud environments to organize data effectively.
  • Install and maintain software, services, and applications by identifying system requirements.
  • Extensive experience with database management systems including AWS Redshift, RDS, and MySQL.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to AWS Services, databases, and servers.
  • Maintain system performance by monitoring and analyzing system metrics and making data-driven decisions.
  • Stay up-to-date with day-to-day operations, deployments, and development in the field of database administration.
  • Experience with Snowflake is highly desirable.
  • Strong knowledge of SQL and performance tuning principles.
  • Knowledge of Linux shell scripting or Python programming is essential.
  • Migrate systems from one cloud environment to another.
  • Hands-on experience with troubleshooting hardware, software, and operating system issues.
  • Incident and change management processes.
  • Release management and code deployment best practices.
  • Provide after-hours support as needed.
  • Test disaster recovery policies and procedures, complete backups, and maintain accurate documentation.
  • Upgrade systems and services, develop, test, evaluate, and install enhancements and new software.
