Embedded Systems Manager for Etch Electrical Engineering

About the RoleThis Embedded Manager role is part of the Etch Electrical Engineering team based out of Bangalore and is responsible for driving the Embedded Systems roadmap for Lam's products.
The ideal candidate will lead highly motivated Embedded Firmware and FPGA teams in developing solutions, running simulations and regressions of FPGA/Firmware based designs used in semiconductor plasma etchers.
Key Responsibilities- Own and drive Embedded Systems roadmap for the Lam products.
- Lead highly motivated Embedded Firmware and FPGA teams in developing solutions, running simulations and regressions of FPGA/Firmware based designs used in semiconductor plasma etchers.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams within Lam India and other regions to set priorities for projects.
- Develop organization succession plans and implement them.
- Drive team succession plans and develop high-performing teams.
- Translate organization objectives to individual goals for team members and enable engineers to achieve them.
- Provide continuous engagement with engineers, offer constructive feedback, monitor progress, hold reviews, and make merit recommendations.
- 12-16 years of work experience.
- Bachelor/Master's degree in Electronics/Electrical/Computer Science.
- Mandatory skills: Owned designs and embedded solutions used in industrial applications, architected SDLC processes used in development, and set up test automation infrastructure to enable release management.
- Experience in managing 8-10 engineers.
- Familiarity with digital signal processing (FFT, FIR, IIR) and communications protocols (SPI, I2C, EtherCAT, Ethernet, RS232).
- Coding experience in high-level languages (Python, C, C++).
- Firmware development experience.
- Experience in CI/CD environments using Jenkins and Agile Methodologies.
- Exposure to Linux internals.
