About the Role:This nursing superintendent position involves planning, organizing, and supervising all nursing activities within the unit. You will be responsible for ensuring that hospital policies and procedures are followed, and that patients receive the highest level of care.
Key Responsibilities include:
- Maintaining accurate patient records and coordinating with other departments for effective patient care.
- Supervising direct patient care and providing guidance to staff nurses and students on treating patients according to physician's orders.
- Assigning staff nurses and student nurses for acute/ill, post-operative cases and overseeing dietary arrangements for helpless patients.
- Coordinating unit operations and maintaining a bed-to-bed round of the department with staff and students.
- Taking reports from on-duty staff nurses and reading/signing the report book.
