We are seeking a highly skilled Oracle ERP Systems Architect Functional Specialist to join our team at Cummins Inc.

This is a full-time position that offers a competitive salary of $120,000 per year, plus benefits.

Job Description:

The Oracle ERP Systems Architect Functional Specialist will work closely with business functions to define, determine, analyze, document and communicate the objectives, business requirements and priorities for information systems and solutions.

This includes working with application and technical experts on the solution design, implementation, support, maintenance and enhancement of the information systems.

The successful candidate will lead the effort, in conjunction with the business, to define and document what constitutes business success for large or complex initiatives within a single organization.

This may involve working as part of a team on project definition and documentation for initiatives that cross organizations.

The Oracle ERP Systems Architect Functional Specialist will also lead a group of analysts to elicit, analyze, and document functional requirements across the five aspects (process, information, event, socio-political, and location), as appropriate for the complex initiative.

In addition, they will elicit, analyze, and document non-functional business requirements.

The successful candidate will lead and conduct requirements management activities, as necessary.

They will seek out and analyze information regarding the impact of changes within an organization or between organizations, ensuring that the effects of changes are well understood and approved by all of the appropriate stakeholders.

The Oracle ERP Systems Architect Functional Specialist will lead and conduct solution assessment and validation to ensure that functional and technical specifications meet the identified business needs within the organization or across organizations.

They will review test plans and testing methodology to mitigate risks and participate in testing the solution to ensure it meets functional and non-functional requirements within the organization or across organizations.

The successful candidate will conduct complex problem analysis and resolution as needed.

They will act as a point of escalation for complex, non-routine problems.

The Oracle ERP Systems Architect Functional Specialist will develop and maintain positive relationships with both business leaders and other functions involved in downstream technical processes.

They will coach and mentor less experienced business analysts.

  • Buisness Analysis Planning - Identifies the activities needed to conduct business analysis considering the five business aspects, level of detail, and approach for eliciting requirements to plan for resources and techniques to document the business needs and solution characteristics.
  • Requirements Analysis - Evaluates relationships and interdependencies between requirements based upon their complexity and value to the business in order to determine feasibility and prioritization.
  • Solution Design - Creates and defines the solution design complete with instrumentation and measurement, using industry standards and tools, version control, and build and test automation to synthesize diagrams, models and documentation in order to build a solution that meets buildability, business, technical, security, governance and compliance requirements.
  • Solution Functional Fit Analysis - Composes and decomposes a system into its component parts using procedures, tools and work aides for the purpose of studying how well the component parts were designed, purchased and configured to interact holistically to meet business, technical, security, governance and compliance requirements.
  • Problem Solving - Solves problems using a systematic analysis process by leveraging industry standard methodologies to create problem traceability and protect the customer; determines the assignable cause; implements robust, data-based solutions; identifies the systemic root causes and recommended actions to prevent problem reoccurrence.
  • Manages complexity - Making sense of complex, high quantity, and sometimes contradictory information to effectively solve problems.
  • Balances stakeholders - Anticipating and balancing the needs of multiple stakeholders.
  • Optimizes work processes - Knowing the most effective and efficient processes to get things done, with a focus on continuous improvement.

Education, Licenses, Certifications:

College, university, or equivalent degree in Information Technology, Business or a related subject required.

This position may require licensing for compliance with export controls or sanctions regulations.

Experience:

Significant relevant experience required. 5-7 years of experience.

7+ years with 1 - 3 full life cycle implementations experience or support projects.

Experience handling defects, enhancement requests.

Overall responsibility of the end-to-end solution definition and delivery, which may include Oracle EBS, Oracle SaaS integrations.

Collaborate with functional and technical teams to determine the most appropriate strategy and designs to meet business and project needs, ensuring it aligns with commitments.

Communicate complex technical solutions in an accessible and digestible manner to customers.

Translate customer requirements into solutions that address the business need and leverages Oracles modern best practice processes. Partner with the functional stakeholders.

Act as a mentor to team members, offering guidance and knowledge transfer to enhance the team's overall competency. Develop and conduct training sessions to share insights and best practices.

Drive continuous process improvement initiatives within the functional domain, identifying opportunities to optimize workflows, enhance efficiency, and elevate the overall performance of the Oracle ERP system.
