About the Role

We are seeking an experienced big data tester with a strong background in programming and SQL expertise to join our team. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for working with large datasets, understanding stored procedures, and writing data-driven automation logic.

The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with Python or Java, as well as knowledge of SQL, including writing and debugging complex queries, understanding stored procedures, and working with data structures and large tables.

Additionally, the candidate should have experience working with test management tools, such as X-Ray/JIRA, and be able to work independently without close supervision.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Developing and executing test cases with a focus on Fixed Income trading workflows
  • Collaborating with development, business analysts, and project managers to ensure quality throughout the SDLC
  • Providing clear and concise reporting on QA progress and metrics to management
  • Ensuring effective communication with global stakeholders
  • Independently troubleshooting difficult and complex issues on different environments

The successful candidate will be responsible for writing custom data validation scripts, reading and understanding stored procedure logic, comparing datasets across environments, and collaborating with team members to build and maintain a central automation script repository.

Requirements:

The position requires a strong subject matter expertise in the Financial Services Industry, particularly fixed income trading products and workflows. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, are essential for this role.
