Cloud Operations Manager

As a seasoned Cloud Operations Manager, you will lead our cloud operations team in delivering exceptional services to customers.


Team Purpose

The Cloud organisation is responsible for maintaining and providing excellent cloud operations services to customers. We work closely with bid management, pre-sales, solution & service architects to support the execution of complex solutions.


Role Purpose

This position is a Subject Matter Expert-level role responsible for owning end-to-end operations management, resolving high complex issues, and assisting in migration of infrastructure from Data Center or Private cloud to Public cloud.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Create automation scripts using native services or other tools within Public Cloud services.
  • Identify and automate repetitive tasks.
  • Experience in containerization technologies – Kubernetes, Docker, Jenkins, etc.
  • Drive Public Cloud best practices implementation, review gaps in the environment and drive performance fine-tuning initiatives.
  • Design virtual networks to support workloads with highest security and performance.
  • Configure policies, rules, autoscaling, OS hardening, etc.
  • Perform configuration management and disaster recovery tasks on your new environment.
  • Provide input for design and construction of test cases and scenarios and may also validate executed test results.
  • Automating deployment and scale of the Public Cloud IaaS Solution script.

Required Technical Skills and Experience:
  • More than 8+ years of experience in IT infrastructure and Cloud Operations.
  • Minimum of 6+ years in Public Cloud Operations.
  • Good experience in handling Public Cloud PaaS such as SQL, Lambda functions, Application Firewall, etc.
  • Hands-on experience in PowerShell scripting.
  • Hands-on experience in Public Cloud/runbooks, ARM, Terraform, CloudFormation.
  • Experience in Rightsizing, Cost optimization, and auto scaling.
  • Experience in managing any one of the technologies: Windows, Linux, Virtualization, SQL, Oracle, Network, Firewall, etc.

Certifications:
  • Vendor certifications in Virtualization, Systems, Storage, and Networking.
  • PUBLIC CLOUD Administrator – Mandatory.
  • PUBLIC CLOUD Architect Technologies – Preferred.
  • ITIL and or Agile methodologies.
