Responsibilities:

  • Design, manage, maintain, and support scalable cloud infrastructure for complex applications.
  • Drive automation of tasks and implement robust infrastructure services.
  • Identify and mitigate potential risks within the infrastructure, network, or security.
  • Research, deploy, test, and implement cutting-edge technologies to enhance application performance, reliability, availability, security, and efficiency.
  • Collaborate with developers to troubleshoot issues and implement corrective actions during and after incidents.
  • Develop software architecture for maintaining High Availability and Fault Tolerance.
  • Document and audit DevOps practices to ensure adherence to best-in-class standards.
  • Provide strategic guidance and leadership to the DevOps engineering team.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Hands-on expertise with Kubernetes (EKS preferred) and related cluster components such as logging, metrics, security, RBAC, autoscaling etc.
  • 7+ years of experience in AWS, including minimum 1+ year in a Lead DevOps role, with expertise in a broad range of AWS technologies such as EC2, IAM, VPC, CloudWatch, EKS, ECS, Security Hub, DynamoDB, Secret Manager, and Guard Duty.
  • Expertise in DevOps tools like Ansible, Terraform, Salt, Bash Scripting, CI/CD, etc.
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Java, or Go.
  • Experience working with large-scale distributed systems and troubleshooting complex infrastructure resource and application deployment issues.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to analyze and resolve complex issues efficiently.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a globally-distributed team environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively articulate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Experience working with observability tools (Grafana, Prometheus preferred).
  • Knowledge of best practice and cloud security (AWS Well-Architected Framework).
