Job Description

LTIMindtree is seeking a highly skilled Data Transformation Specialist to join our team.

The ideal candidate will have 8-12 years of experience in data warehousing, data modeling, and data transformation. They will possess a strong understanding of data warehousing concepts, including Kimball methodology and star schema design.

Solid SQL development and troubleshooting skills are essential, as well as experience with one or more cloud data platforms such as Snowflake, Google BigQuery, Databricks, Amazon Redshift, or Amazon RDS.

Traditional ETL tools and methodologies, like SSIS and Informatica PowerCenter, are also necessary. Strong database administration experience with relational databases, such as Oracle, SQL Server, or MySQL, is a plus.

We are looking for someone proficient in working with version control systems like Git and who can demonstrate the ability to design scalable, maintainable, and performant data pipelines.

This role requires excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities
  • Design, develop, and implement data transformation pipelines using DBT.
  • Collaborate with data engineers, analysts, and stakeholders to understand data requirements and translate them into efficient DBT models.
  • Ensure code quality, maintainability, and adherence to best practices for DBT development.
  • Implement and enforce data governance standards within the DBT environment.
  • Develop and maintain documentation for DBT models and processes.
  • Stay up-to-date on the latest trends and advancements in DBT and related technologies.
  • Lead performance optimization efforts for data pipelines.
  • Troubleshoot complex data transformation issues and ensure data quality.
  • Assist in the selection, integration, and management of CICD pipelines for DBT deployments.
  • Mentor junior data engineers or analysts in DBT concepts if applicable.
Requirements
  • 8-12 years of experience in data warehousing, data modeling, and data transformation.
  • Strong understanding of data warehousing concepts, including Kimball methodology and star schema design.
  • Solid SQL development and troubleshooting skills.
  • Experience with one or more cloud data platforms.
  • Experience with traditional ETL tools and methodologies.

Benefits

We offer a competitive salary of $120,000 - $180,000 per annum, depending on experience and qualifications, along with a range of benefits and opportunities for growth and development.
