Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) to join our team. As an SRE, you will be responsible for ensuring the reliability, scalability, and performance of our on-premises infrastructure and cloud-based applications.
Responsibilities
- Design and implement on-premises infrastructure, including server and desktop virtualization environments.
- Develop and maintain automation scripts using Bicep, PowerShell, and Bash to streamline infrastructure deployment and management.
- Troubleshoot and resolve infrastructure-related issues, performing root cause analysis to identify and resolve problems efficiently.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and prioritize infrastructure improvements and implement changes to enhance reliability and performance.
- Develop and maintain incident management processes, including creating runbooks, playbooks, and knowledge bases to ensure effective incident response and resolution.
- Work closely with development teams to ensure alignment between infrastructure and application development, and to identify opportunities for improvement.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies, applying this knowledge to improve infrastructure and application reliability.
- Develop and maintain documentation, including technical guides, architecture diagrams, and configuration files.
Qualifications
- 6+ years of experience in site reliability engineering, infrastructure engineering, or a related field.
- Strong experience with on-premises infrastructure, including server and desktop virtualization environments. Proficiency in automation tools, including Bicep, PowerShell, and Bash.
- Experience with Microsoft Azure services, including Azure Monitor, Azure Resource Manager, and Azure Pipelines.
- Strong understanding of Azure administration and Azure development. Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills, with the ability to perform root cause analysis.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams. Experience with incident management and troubleshooting processes. Strong understanding of cloud-based infrastructure and applications.
