The Raahgiri Foundation seeks a detail-oriented and dynamic Urban Development Specialist to contribute to the development and implementation of urban landscape and complete streets projects. This role is ideal for professionals with a passion for creating people-centered urban spaces and strong project coordination skills.

About the Role:

This position involves supporting the development and execution of urban landscape and complete streets projects, ensuring adherence to timelines and budgets. You will conduct site visits, gather data to inform project planning and design, and assist in preparing design concepts, presentations, and reports related to complete street projects.

Responsibilities:

  • Support the development and execution of urban landscape and complete streets projects.

  • Conduct site visits and gather data to inform project planning and design.

  • Assist in preparing design concepts, presentations, and reports related to complete street projects.

  • Coordinate with stakeholders, including government agencies, community groups, and consultants, to ensure effective project implementation.

  • Assist in organizing and facilitating community consultations and workshops to gather valuable feedback.

  • Conduct research on best practices in urban landscape design and complete streets, supporting project development.

  • Collect and analyze data to evaluate project outcomes and inform future initiatives.

  • Prepare project documentation, progress reports, and presentations.

  • Assist with logistical coordination of project-related events and activities.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Urban Planning, Urban Design, Landscape Architecture, or a related field.

  • Minimum 3 years of professional experience in urban planning, landscape design, or project coordination.

  • Solid understanding of urban planning principles and sustainable development practices.

  • Strong organizational and project management skills.

  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and collaboration skills.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

  • Familiarity with design software (AutoCAD, SketchUp, GIS) is desirable.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

  • Passion for creating vibrant and accessible urban spaces.
