Job Title: Marine Vetting Lead

Key Responsibilities:
  • Active engagement with all employees on HSSEQ- and Vetting-related issues
  • Participate in and provide input to HSSEQ- and Vetting-related meetings and inspections
  • Actively promote the application of all Company safe working practices
  • Implementing and promoting V.Group's 'Key Behaviours of Great Safety Leaders'
  • Provide interface between BU Cluster and Group management on Vetting issues
  • Act as Vetting representative for client meetings, authority liaison, and external forums
  • Actively partake in shore- and vessel-based safety meetings and Senior Leadership Engagement sessions
  • Act as lead in providing specialist advice on all marine and operational matters
  • Provide timely and accurate information to Clients on all marine and operational matters
  • Actively collaborate with all BU Cluster teams and functions to ensure continual improvement in performance against relevant internal and external KPI's and objectives
Requirements:
  • Qualifications and experience sailing as Marine Deck Officer or Engineer in relevant marine field
  • Experience of working with relevant industry Vetting standards and systems (TMSA, OVMSA, DryBMS etc.)
  • Experience of interfacing with clients and meeting their demands in relation to implementation and management of Vetting-specific aspects
  • Strong, clear communication skills, especially regarding maintenance of Vetting standards
  • Recognised Incident Investigator qualification
  • Experience of delivering against needs of various statutory external bodies; Class, Flag etc.
  • Significant experience in engaging and collaborating with multinational / multicultural teams
