Senior Build & Installer Developer Position

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Senior Build & Installer Developer to join our R&D team.

  • Design, develop, and maintain build and installer packages for NI products across Windows, Linux, and macOS platforms.
  • Play a key part in the product release process, ensuring efficient and reliable results.
Responsibilities

- Design and develop installer packages using internal and third-party tools (WIX).

- Collaborate closely with teams to meet build, installer, and release requirements.

- Provide technical leadership for build and installer initiatives within NI product lines.

- Mentor junior team members and provide ongoing technical guidance.

- Maintain and enhance the build and test infrastructure for NI products.

- Contribute to internal build tools and open-source projects as needed.

Requirements

- 5+ years of professional experience in software development with a focus on build and installer systems.

- Proven ability to lead technical efforts and mentor junior engineers.

- Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) in English.

- Strong experience with operating systems (Windows, Linux, macOS), build and automation tools (Azure DevOps, Git, GNU Make), scripting and development (Python), and package management systems.

- Shown understanding of debugging tools.

- Experience with Agile development methodologies.
