About this role:

As a senior principal engineer, you will lead the vehicle noise, vibration, and harshness (NVH) development team. Your responsibilities will include guiding and tracking NVH benchmarking initiatives, establishing robust target settings for multiple vehicle programs, and ensuring excellence in NVH performance.

Key deliverables will involve meticulous review and monitoring of test plans while coordinating and executing NVH development activities during physical prototype stages through cross-functional team collaboration.

You will provide coaching and guidance to your team to ensure smooth implementation of NVH suggestions, balancing constraints related to weight and cost.

Additionally, you will deliver vehicle and system-level NVH performance targets across multiple domains, including body-in-white NVH, sound package NVH, trimmed body NVH, chassis engineering, NVH control measures, suspension, and tire NVH, glass, and seals, mounts, as well as seats and steering systems.

Meeting NVH targets for product testing NVH, road noise, and wind noise will be critical.

You will proactively track and plan for NVH risks, deploying effective solutions to secure NVH deliverables on schedule.

Resource development and management will also be key aspects of your role, anticipating current and future NVH technology needs and capabilities.

Innovating and establishing new processes and technology frameworks from an NVH perspective will be essential in maintaining the company's competitive edge.

Required skills and qualifications:
  • Between 14 to 18 years of comprehensive experience in vehicle NVH development is required.
  • A Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering or Design Engineering is necessary.
  • Excellent academic records and relevant certifications in NVH-related domains are highly valued.
