Job Overview

The role of a Controls and Information Systems Consultant is pivotal in developing GMI standard Controls Technology, applications, and tools to minimize operations losses and enhance system performance and product quality.

This position requires demonstrated expertise in developing and driving engineering solutions to Improve, Extend, and Sustain GMI Manufacturing Assets while meeting business and regulatory requirements.

The Engineering Solutions team caters to engineering requirements for all food manufacturing plants worldwide in Controls Engineering.

  • Proven expertise in controls and information technology including Instrumentation, PLC, HMI, SCADA, MES, MOM, Electrical System Design, Enterprise/Plant Floor Integration, and plant and enterprise networks.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Design, installation, and commissioning experience.
  • Systems expertise in Wonderware/Aveva System Platform, Rockwell, Siemens.

Familiarity with programming languages such as .NET, Iron Python, Power Shell, XML, R, SQL is essential.

Educational Qualification: Bachelor's in Electrical/Computer/Instrumentation Engineering.

Total Years of Relevant Experience: 12+ years in controls/automation.

A comprehensive understanding of OT cybersecurity, industrial network infrastructure, instrumentation, and field devices is required.

Additionally, experience with IT programming/databases, electrical knowledge, batching system experience, and broader technical exposure to Industry 4.0 and virtualization is highly desirable.
