Job Title

We are seeking an experienced Structural Designer I to join our team.

The ideal candidate will have strong understanding of how a building comes together, and be able to think in 3-D. They will be proficient with written and verbal communication skills, and have the ability to draw sections and details with minimal input from the engineer.

About the Role
  • Produce 3D models consistent with instruction, industry guidelines, and standards.
  • Create 2D production drawings in conformance to KP&J standards and practices.
  • Manage the BIM workflow including folder organization, sheet sets, geo-location, plots, conversions, and transmittals.
  • Maintain structural BIM / CAD files for use in the structural design drawings (clean-up, audit, reference, troubleshooting).
  • Interface with engineers and clients to coordinate BIM modelling content and approaches, model exchanges, quality control, and delivery.
  • Use tools such as Navisworks for project collaboration across multiple disciplines.
Requirements
  • 0 to 3 years of experience in preparing structural construction documents using Revit/BIM project delivery.
  • Up-to-date knowledge and expertise with Revit software
  • Up-to-date knowledge and expertise with AutoCAD software
  • Strong understanding of building construction.
  • Ability to think in 3-D.
  • Proficiency with written and verbal communication skills.
  • The ideal candidate will enjoy working in a team environment.
