Data Engineer Role

We're seeking a highly skilled data engineer to join our team. As a data engineer, you will play a key role in designing, building, and maintaining scalable data platforms and applications.

You will work closely with engineers, product, and design teams to deliver actionable insights quickly, driving business growth and decision-making.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Data Pipeline Design: Design, build, and maintain data pipelines connecting Aurora MySQL to Redshift Serverless and S3/QuickSight for efficient data processing and analysis.
  • Data Modeling: Develop data models, materialized views, and APIs to enable fast reporting and analytics, ensuring data consistency and accuracy.
  • Scheduled Reporting: Automate scheduled reporting workflows and exports for clients and admins, utilizing tools like AWS Lambda and EventBridge.
  • Collaboration: Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality solutions.
  • Infrastructure Management: Ensure the performance, reliability, and scalability of our analytics infrastructure, monitoring key metrics and making data-driven improvements.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • AWS Data Stack Experience: Proven experience with the AWS data stack, including Aurora, Redshift, S3, and Lambda/EventBridge.
  • SQL and Data Modeling: Solid understanding of SQL and data modeling concepts, including fact/dimension schemas and materialized views.
  • BI Tools: Familiarity with BI tools like QuickSight, Metabase, or Superset for data visualization and reporting.
  • Security and Governance: Good grasp of IAM, security, and data governance principles to ensure data integrity and compliance.
