Job Summary

A Civil and Structural Design Engineer plays a critical role in the oil and gas industry, overseeing the end-to-end design, analysis, and integrity management of complex facilities.

This role encompasses initial conceptual studies to detailed engineering, as well as ongoing operational support for both greenfield and brownfield projects. The engineer ensures the safety, cost-effectiveness, and structural soundness of all civil and structural assets, whether on land or offshore.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform advanced structural analysis and design for both reinforced concrete and steel structures, including pipe racks, platforms, foundations, and buildings.
  • Design specialized foundations, such as dynamic foundations for large rotating machinery, and pile foundations for complex structures.
  • Conduct comprehensive in-place, fatigue, seismic, and blast analysis for both onshore and offshore structures.
  • Develop detailed engineering deliverables, including technical specifications, calculation reports, and engineering drawings (GAs, details, layouts).
Requirements
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
  • 8-12 years of relevant experience in a high-risk industry, preferably in oil and gas, petrochemicals, or energy.
  • Proven experience in both greenfield and brownfield projects, covering all project phases from FEED to commissioning.
Preferred Skills
  • Expertise in the design of complex structures (concrete and steel), dynamic analysis of equipment foundations, fatigue, seismic, and blast-resistant design.
  • Advanced user of structural analysis and design software such as STAAD.Pro, SACS, ABAQUS, or ANSYS.
  • Experience with 3D modeling and review software, including Tekla, Navisworks, or E3D.
