Job Description

At Ojas Innovative Technologies Pvt Ltd, we are seeking an experienced AIX System Administrator to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in AIX, Power Systems, and system administration.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Administer and manage IBM Power Servers, Hardware Management Console (HMC), and PowerVC.
  • Monitor system performance, identify bottlenecks, and implement solutions to enhance overall system efficiency.
  • Plan and execute AIX system patches, updates, and version upgrades in a controlled and efficient manner.
  • Configure and manage high availability solutions such as PowerHA (HACMP) to ensure continuous availability of critical applications.
  • Implement and manage backup and recovery solutions to safeguard data integrity and ensure business continuity.
  • Develop and maintain scripts for automating routine tasks and streamlining system management processes.
  • Provide expert-level troubleshooting for complex system issues.
  • Conduct capacity-planning assessments to ensure AIX systems meet current and future performance requirements.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 5 years' experience in AIX, Power Systems, and system administration.
  • Strong knowledge of LPAR, PowerVC, PowerSC, Tivoli Backup, and operating systems such as AIX, UNIX, Linux, Solaris, and MS Windows.
  • Good scripting knowledge in Perl and Shell.
  • Good knowledge of ITIL framework on Incident, Problem, Change management, and Service request management.
