Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Quality Assurance Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in ensuring the reliability, safety, and compliance of critical systems.

The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing quality processes across design, manufacturing, assembly, integration, and testing phases of complex systems.

  • Develop and Implement Quality Plans: Develop and implement quality plans, procedures, and standards (e.g., ECSS, MIL-STD) to ensure adherence to regulatory requirements.
  • Participate in Design Reviews: Participate in design reviews to ensure quality requirements are embedded and meet industry standards.
  • Conduct Audits and Process Evaluations: Conduct audits and process evaluations across vendors and internal teams to identify areas for improvement.
  • Ensure Traceability and Configuration Control: Ensure traceability and configuration control of components and documentation to prevent errors and inconsistencies.
  • Support Risk Management and Failure Mode Analysis: Support risk management and failure mode analysis (FMEA, FTA) to identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies.

Key Responsibilities

The Quality Assurance Specialist will perform inspection and testing of incoming components, in-process assemblies, and final products to ensure they meet quality and regulatory standards.

Additionally, the role will involve monitoring and verifying compliance with acceptance test procedures (ATPs), product identification documents (PID), and data transfer records (DTRs).

The successful candidate will also coordinate environmental testing (thermal, vibration, EMI/EMC) and review results to ensure compliance with industry standards.

  • Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical or Electronics Engineering.
  • 2-3 years of experience in QA/QC roles, preferably in aerospace or space systems.
  • Familiarity with standards like ECSS, ISRO-PAS, MIL-STD-883, IPC-A-610.
  • Hands-on experience with inspection tools, test benches, and environmental chambers.
  • Strong documentation, analytical, and communication skills.

PREFERRED SKILLS

  • Experience with satellite subsystems (e.g., Reaction Wheel, Battery, EPS, CDH).
  • Experience with satellite Assembly & Integration QA/QC.
  • Knowledge of reliability engineering and statistical quality control.
  • Exposure to cleanroom protocols and ESD-safe handling.
  • Certification/Knowledge in Six Sigma, AS9100, or ISO 9001 is a plus.
