Job Summary

The Supply Chain Manager drives end-to-end supply network planning, optimizes inventory management, and ensures demand completeness across various horizons. They develop strategic plans for finished products and raw materials, balancing supply and demand in line with service levels.

This is a highly visible position requiring strong analytical skills, effective communication, negotiation, and influence abilities, along with presentation skills and business knowledge.

About the Role

The role is responsible for developing demand-supply plans for tactical and strategic horizons, ensuring adequate balancing between supply and demand in line with expected service levels and inventory at the next point of the supply chain.

They manage key supply chain processes in monthly, quarterly, yearly cycles, such as Integrated Business Planning (IBP), Supply Operations Planning (SOP), and financial controls.

Key Responsibilities

  • Implement and maintain product parameters across the network to drive replenishment and resulting inventory at decoupling points and in markets based on product segmentation and configuration guidance.
  • Define and ensure global consistency of planning master data and optimal use of SAP for demand and supply planning, yield, production losses, minimum order quantities, safety stocks at decoupling points, campaign strategy, order frequency, STD vs MTP, and DS equivalent.
  • Ensure the integration of life-cycle planning assumptions within the tactical planning horizon.
  • Responsible for defining the bridging stock required to support a life-cycle event as a member of the Supply Support Teams.
  • Responsible for completeness, accuracy, and stability of finished product net requirements across the portfolio.
  • Responsible for consolidation of the FP, DS, and DP demand based on independent demand input from the markets and customers in the tactical horizon and respective commercial groups for the strategic horizon.
  • Define, implement, and monitor supply and capacity performance across the network of technology assets assigned to them within the tactical horizon.
  • Coordinate site tactical planners in creation of the site supply plans across the network for assigned product portfolio and drive alignment of decoupled production and dual multiple product sourcing networks.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or Master's degree in a relevant field such as life science, engineering, or business.
  • Mastery of English written and spoken; another language written and spoken are an advantage.
  • At least 12 years of experience in supply chain management, planning, logistics, and inventory management.
  • Experience working with Contract Manufacturing Organization (CMO) and External Service Organizations (ESOs) is preferred.
  • Strong communication and analytical skills, managing complex internal and external stakeholder landscapes.
  • A structured way of working.
