Shift Manager Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Shift Manager to oversee the efficient operation of our data center.

Job Responsibilities:

  1. Lead a team of shift operators in executing planned and unplanned activities within set timelines while maintaining effective communication.
  2. Monitor and resolve complaints in accordance with Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
  3. Manage incidents, conduct Root Cause Analysis (RCA), and implement recommendations on time with regular review of RCAs.
  4. Oversee asset management, warranties, AMC, lifecycle, and capacity management.
  5. Track and complete 5 PPM tracking and completion with OEMs to ensure 100% equipment availability.
  6. Collaborate with vendors on Response Action Time (RAT) and Time Action Taken (TAT) for complaints and maintain uptime of redundant equipment.
  7. Maintain accurate records for all stocks as per Business Continuity Plan (BCP) requirements.
  8. Coordinate with the Customer Engagement Team for customer-related queries and submit reports on time.
  9. Ensure 100% compliance with periodic trackers.
  10. Maintain physical security processes.
  11. Prepare risk assessments and period validations based on incidents and RCAs.
  12. Regularly update inventories with capacity vs accompany vs balance on a monthly basis, including customer details on Rack inventory.
  13. Submit reports on time according to agreed timelines.
  14. Achieve 100% audit and compliance.
  15. Demonstrate knowledge in Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE).

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  1. Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering.
  2. Minimum 7 years' experience in the Data Center Industry.
  3. Solid technical background with understanding and hands-on experience in data center infrastructure.
  4. Strong organizational skills, including attention to detail and multitasking abilities.
