We are seeking an experienced technology leader to oversee a team of backend engineers working primarily in Go.

Key Responsibilities

  • Guide and manage a team of skilled backend engineers responsible for designing, developing, and deploying scalable solutions.
  • Define the technical strategy, architecture, and best practices across the team.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver robust solutions that meet business needs.
  • Evaluate code quality, performance, and reliability through best practices in design, development, and deployment.
  • Manage sprints, prioritize engineering tasks, and remove roadblocks to ensure timely delivery.
  • Establish and uphold engineering standards, foster a culture of innovation and continuous improvement.
  • Mentor and coach team members to help them grow technically and professionally.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of experience in software engineering, including 2+ years managing high-performing engineering teams.
  • Strong hands-on experience with Golang, familiarity with its ecosystem and tooling.
  • Deep understanding of system design, distributed systems, and performance optimization.
  • Experience with microservices architecture, API design, and event-driven systems.
  • Familiarity with relational and NoSQL databases (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB).
  • Excellent communication skills and a collaborative leadership style.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in a regulated industry or fintech sector.
  • Exposure to modern CI/CD pipelines, containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), and cloud platforms (AWS/GCP).
