Linux Engineer Position

We are seeking a seasoned Linux engineer to join our team. As a key member, you will be responsible for managing and maintaining SUSE servers in both physical and virtual environments.

  • Manage IBM, DELL, Lenovo Fujitsu, and HP HANA appliance servers
  • Build and reimage SUSE Linux servers in both physical and virtual environments
  • Manage Linux virtual machines configured in ESX environments
  • Provide Level 3 support to customers and manage antivirus environments
  • Patch and perform OS upgrades on SUSE servers

You will have exposure to DNS, NFS, Samba, FTP, LDAP, NTP, Email services, and knowledge of SAN or NAS environments. Additionally, you will have experience with RAID, LVM, and clustering.

A strong understanding of networking concepts such as TCP/IP, DHCP, IP Routing, and Name Resolution is required. You must also have experience analyzing, troubleshooting, and providing solutions for technical issues.

Your expertise should include security, backup and recovery strategies, performance tuning, LDAP, high availability, disaster recovery concepts, and monitoring. Configuration management systems such as Chef, Puppet, Ansible are a must-have.

Cloud Computing Experience:
  • Cloud (AWS or Azure or Both): Advantageous
  • AWS Skills: EBS, EFS, VPC, Elastic Beanstalk, SNS, Cloud watch, S3, EC2, Auto scaling, CloudFront, ELB etc.
  • Azure Skills: IAAS, PaaS, Cloud Computing, deployment methodologies, application and deployment architecture from On-premise to Cloud

Experience with cloud platforms like AWS and Azure, along with certifications like AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Associate / AZ-300 Microsoft Azure Architect Technologies, are desired.
