Collections Specialist Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Collections Specialist to join our team. This role is responsible for driving recoveries on overdue loans by engaging with customers, negotiating settlements, and ensuring account closures—while adhering to regulatory and organizational guidelines.

The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in collections or recoveries, preferably in personal, business, or auto loans with banks, NBFCs, fintechs, or collection agencies.

  • Strong knowledge of recovery/settlement documentation and processes.
  • Excellent negotiation, persuasion, and conflict-resolution skills.
  • A customer-first approach with strong problem-solving skills.
  • The ability to remain calm and effective under pressure.
  • Consistent performance and target-oriented mindset.
Key Responsibilities
  1. Contact delinquent customers via calls to follow up on overdue payments.
  2. Manage loan portfolios across due date buckets.
  3. Offer closure, settlement, or restructuring options aligned with internal policies.
  4. Maintain calling discipline and track promise to pays, callbacks, and payments.
  5. Ensure compliance standards are met in customer communication and data handling.
  6. Prepare call records, daily reports, and portfolio performance metrics.
Requirements
  • 1–3 years of experience in collections or recoveries.
  • Prior experience in tele-calling or collections call centers is essential.
  • Fluency in Hindi and English (knowledge of additional regional languages is beneficial).
